It sucks, as it is supposed to

The foodsaver reusable ziploc style bags are thick, sturdy, and the gallon size is probably 6" LONGER than a traditional sized gallon bag you'd buy from the "ziploc" brand at the grocery store. The gallon sized vacuum bags from foodsaver fit entire stalks of celery, etc, which is nice for longer items. I have the quart size bags too, I've found bigger is better in general. It's just easier to fit things in them and take them out. And once it's sealed there's no air inside the bag, so who cares if the bag is a little bigger than you need sometimes? You'll see. It really makes your food last MUCH longer, too (a couple weeks) while remaining fresh like the day you bought it. I've found that ridgid containers are better for soft veggies like lettuce, cilantro, etc, that you don't want to squish from the vacuum sealing process. You can squeeze your meats but probably don't want to squeeze your lettuce. As a side note, for a great ridgid container system, don't bother with the foodsaver brand. They have VERY poor selection of ridgid containers. Mine broke in 5 days. Try the Fosa brand instead, they have GIANT container sizes if needed and the vacuum wand seals to the container while operating all on its own, allowing you to walk away from it and not lose suction - unlike foodsaver's wand system for containers. The foodsaver brand requires you to babysit the entire vacuum process and it's very loud to use. Fosa on the other hand is practically silent.

Quality Reusable Quart Vacuum Zipper Bags

We've been using the FoodSaver vacuum device for about 6 years, and use it about daily! I thought it would be seldomly used, but between resealing manufacturer bags of nuts, grains, etc., FoodSaver bags, and now these reusable bags, we vacuum seal most everything from flout to rice to cookies and pizza. This bag is a little tight at the opening, which makes it hard to clean. It works well, but I have doubts that it will be reusable enough times to make its purchase economical.

Not Compatible With Older Sealers

I originally left a bad review because I thought my hand sealer extension on my v4400 which has an ovular shape would not work with these bags due to the bag port having a circular shape. But it works fine and these bags work very well! I’m very happy with them. Note that these bags are not for long term freezing storage in my opinion, that’s what the regular vacuum seal rolls are for. These are meant for refrigerated items that will be accessed regularly and used within a relatively short period of time. This is just my opinion, I use them for fresh produce mostly and any left over food that will be eaten soon and I want kept fresh as possible until then. I love these bags and will probably buy more in different sizes and such

Don’t lose enclosed black thingie!

I like these bags. Enclosed in the box is a black plastic thingie. Use that to close your bags otherwise they won’t seal. The bags at heavy, leakproof, and easy to clean.

Maintain seal for at least a month

These bags work great, they work with the food saver very easily and maintain a seal on coffee beans and chicken for a month so far. I have not had a chance to wash and reuse them but they seem durable. I will update this is washing the bags from my chicken when I thaw it.

Nette amélioration par rapport aux anciens sacs sous vides réutilisables. Ceux-ci maintiennent le vide et sont vraiment réutilisables. Ils sont plus chers mais le valent bien.

Half a zipper clip

I've asked about a replacement for what appears to be half a zipper clip but have been repeatedly advised that they are not 'sold separately'. After a series of, albeit polite, non-answers by email, I'm none the wiser if it came like this (photo included) or has come apart. Either way, I don't have the other half and my concern remains unresolved. In any event, I would like at least two of these plastic clips concerned that I'll not be able to use what, after all, are expensive bags without them. In the meantime, returning it is not ideal as I will then be left with nothing and, in any event, a return label recurrently mentioned has not emerged.
