Great horn for busy downtown Chicago

I commute back and forth to Chicago downtown on an E-Scooter and let me tell ya... there are some clueless pedestrians and drivers out there. Bought a different bike horn before that was rechargeable, but I much prefer this one! The horn is steady, it's one to one reactive to your press and release of the button, the button is easy enough to feel for (however, could be better) and the noise is piercing enough to cut through the ambient noise of the city, gets people's attention. I bought a second scooter, and with it I bought a second horn because I love it that much! Takes 2-AAA batteries (included) which is a bit annoying, but the good outweighs the bad in that regards. 100% recommend this horn!

Loud horn

This is my second purchase of this horn. I bought one 15 months ago and it devoloped a problem with the plug that connects the remote button to the horn. Since I have found its loud honk an essential aid to my safety while cycling, I bought a new one.

Loudest bike horn I have found

It is loud, although it could be louder to penetrate the compartments of certain modern vehicles today. It would also be better if it sounded more like a car horn, as it doesn't exactly sound like one, which means it's possibly more likely to be ignored by a driver behind the wheel. That said, it's the most likely option out there to date if you want to capture another driver's attention, What could potentially save your life, and it might just save your bicycle as well!

Very loud horn for paths or trails

If it was rechargeable would definitely be a 5 Star but besides that this is a very nice horn and the remote is awesome to have close to your brake. No indication to which sound your on if you forget, but quick a quick push and release fixes that problem. Highly recommended.

OMG that is LOUD!!! So bought one for myself too!

Purchased for my wife a few days ago and received it today. Tried it out with a couple blasts on each setting. this is incredibly loud...so much louder than any of the video reviews shows it to be. Louder than we thought it would be...VERY VERY LOUD!!! We are talking seriously loud. (you got my point by now I'm sure). Great for mountain biking to scare any bears off the trail and great for a touring bike or road bike to alert vehicles that they are about to cut you off and loud enough to make any charging dog turn tail and run. I would say it's as loud or louder as the Airzound Horn I've had for a few years. So I just purchased one of these Hornits for my road bike. My new goal in life is to get every cyclist I know to get a Hornit db140 horn.

I bought this be ause I was attacked by a Pit Bull

The noise out of this is perfect to scare off any dog. Definitely I have the loudest bike horn on the block. Works great to wake up the joggers with head phones in their ears. It has two settings one that will wake the dead, and the other is a nice bike horn sound. Love the thumb push button that is easily mounted. I found the mounting brackets needed some adjustments to install.

Decibelios insuficientes en via pública.

Los valores de "sonómetro" que han podido utilizar habrá sido en una habitación acústica. Desde luego en una vía pública circulando por carril bici con el ruido del tráfico los peatones no lo oyen. Si alguien va con auriculares tampoco lo oyen, empezando porque el pabellón auditivo queda tapado, además del volumen de la música que puedan ir escuchando. Si la bocina la haces sonar en casa la oye también el vecino pero en la calle con tráfico CERO PATATERO.

Bocina bastante potente

Es perfecta para circular en la ciudad, tiene un volumen impresionante. Lo más asombroso, es que la bocina se alimenta de dos pequeñas baterías (que vienen incluidas) y que prometen una gran autonomía. Sin duda, generan mucha seguridad al andar en bicicleta, particularmente en ciudades donde no existe la infraestructura suficiente, ni la cultura de respeto al ciclista.

Really loud. Horn button could be improved.

It really does get people’s head turning. On my scooter, I use the regular bell to warn people, but some wear headphones or stay in the middle of the path. The Hornit ensures their safety. A couple blips and it’s good enough. The only thing preventing a 5 star review is the horn switch. Too small, and the nib on it is difficult to nail down when you wear riding gloves. Should be redesigned.
