DON'T BUY FROM HUNTER FAN COMPANY! BUY FROM AMAZON AND GET THE SAME FAN FOR A LOT LESS. I REGISTERED MY PREVIOUS FANS AND THEY KEPT SENDING ME OFFERS.. THEY EVEN TOLD ME THAT THE FAN DID NOT COME IN BLACK WHICH IT DID ......

Needs extension rod and more light bulbs

I wish I had read the details. This fan really needs at least three light bulbs instead of the two with which it comes. I installed it in a studio apartment with vaulted ceilings. I had to buy an extension rod separately since I have vaulted ceiling. I picked it for the price. I should have been willing to spend more money to get a better fan with an extension rod and more lights. I really prefer exposed lights versus the ones inside of a dome. The remote works well and the light is adjustable, which I like. Overall, I recommend something else!

Satisfied overall, but there are problems with remote kit and fan needs balancing.

Directions weren't great, but the parts were organized to make the install easier. Having problems with the lights (and probably fan) shutting down and coming back on periodically. Haven't contacted Hunter yet. Fan is a little noisy, removing light cover helped, but it looks like it needs balancing. Balancing kit is included, but haven't had time to work through that. Remote control for the lighting is challenging. Holding the button initiates the dimming, but difficult to set quite right. Fan speed is better - up/down arrows provide finer control.

To order the right down rod for the room you put the fan in.

Disappointed in noise level

I bought this Hunter to replace another brand of fan that was quite noisy. I have had this fan installed now for about 2 weeks, and am very disappointed in the noise level. I have 2 other Hunter fans that are much quieter. I have this in my office, and the background noise is distracting. The fan does not wobble and is properly installed. Even on the lowest setting the motor has an annoying whirring sound that has nothing to do with air movement. On high I cannot have online meetings for work. The positive is if you are installing this in a larger room where the fan is not within 8 feet of the floor, I imagine the noise wouldn't be as annoying, and the air flow is quite nice. I was hoping to buy another one of these for my master bedroom, however, I won't consider it based on the noise level.

I finally found what I'm looking for

Ceiling fans should be seen and felt but not heard, especially in a bedroom. I tried the Hunter Aerodyne and the Hunter Sentinel before I found the Hardaway. Aerodyne and Sentinel both were too noisy with an audible constant electric humming noise. The Hardaway is the ideal fan for a bedroom. All you hear is the fan blades making the breeze, no hum! Even on highest setting! If a noiseless ceiling fan is important to you this fan is it.

Good looking and quite fan

Quite fan that looks good. Bought 3 of them. Had to replace one that would not balance. It was replaced quickly and without a hassle.
