Great humidor for beginners.

Started getting into cigars and got tired of having them separated between many acrylic humidors. Ended up purchasing this after a lot of YouTube research. Overall I am happy with my purchase. Not easy to get the plastic smell from manufacturer out. I still have not.. however I’ve loaded it with cigars and my Boveda packs. Humidity holding perfect where I want it. Temperature however is hard to keep up exactly where i want it. Largely dependent on house and exterior temperature. If you’re keeping in a bedroom or warmer part of house this unit would be fine. If you’re in a north eastern climate or want to store cigars in your basement I’d recommend the heating and cooling unit for a bit more money. However, even with temps fluctuating +/- 4 degrees (always lower that I set never higher) my cigars have held perfectly at 69% humidity and smoked beautifully. Ps. I use a Govee Wi-Fi hygrometer to monitor my humidor. If anyone wants to know the stand was purchased off Amazon as well fits humidor perfectly even has plugs built into stand. UPDATE: now that it’s getting colder my humidor has trouble staying over 60-62 degrees. Too cold. Starting to get dew on cigars. Need heater version.

Good cigar coolidoor

I ordered and received it very fast. The packaging was excellent and double boxed. Upon opening I was impressed with how it looked. It did come with a strong plastic smell but I decided to season it without cleaning. Seasoning took 2 days. Some Boveda 69 packs and the tray included half filled with distilled water. I eventually had to place newspaper inside overnight which absorbed most of the smell. The unit looks beautiful and seems to maintain temperature pretty well after a week or so seems to be working well. I have fit 4 boxes of cigars inside and the drawer is half filled. And could fit roughly 20 more loose sticks inside. As far as price I got a Amazon/Needone promotion for $85 off. I still think the unit could be cheaper due to the prices of competition units twice the size are about the same price as this. Either way. If you get this unit you will not be disappointed with much other than maybe the price and the fact that the inside light/hygrometer is useless. Ps I added some led lights to mine as pictured and it looks really good.

Very Simple to use

This humidor does have a plastic smell that is easy to remove using baking soda and water. The shelf’s are decent and have no cracks in them. I was able to clean and have this humidor seasoned in 3 days. Would buy again if I needed more room.

Instructions could be better

Just got it and have been trying to season it, not as easy as the instructions make out no mention of what the recommended temp should be or during the process what the humidity will be and at what point you can start to load in your sticks, the light is not bright enough to see the humidity reading so you don't open it, and there are no guidelines on how to get it to the right humidity. If it wasn't for my brother I would still be trying to figure it out overall for the price it's a decent buy,all of my sticks have improved in flavor

Solid option for the price

So, I set this humidor up October 4th. So I haven’t had it that long, so that is a disclaimer. To start off, you should certainly clean the humidor before seasoning and loading it with cigars. I did a two step cleaning, personally. The first cleaning was with distilled water and a few drops of dish soap using a microfiber towel. Followed by a second cleaning with ONLY distilled water and a new microfiber towel. This eliminated the factory “plastic” smell. Also, I would keep the door open for maybe an hour to make sure any residual water is dried. Next, I used distilled water in the “humidifier” cup that it comes with for 12 hours. Calibrated a separate hygrometer, being the one that comes with it isn’t dead on accurate. After 12 hours, I loaded it up with a few cigars, put 3 69% Boveda packs inside (60 gram packs). The humidor regulated both temperature and humidity very well very shortly after. I’ve been monitoring the temperature and humidity since then, and it has held between 68.5F-69.5F and 66.5%-69.5% humidity. These are very respectable and acceptable margins for me personally, and the cigars are smoking quite nicely after adapting for a few days. I’ll be sure to keep this review up to date as time goes on.

Hygrometer is off by 10%-15%. Great unit otherwise.

I've had this unit for a little over 5 weeks. The temperature is spot on. It took about 4 days to season. Excluding one issue, I love this humidor. The Hygrometer is off by a large margin. It reads between 10% to 15% below the actual humidity. I had 2 other quality hydrometers to test it against while they both were reading 70% humidity, the hygrometer in the drawer was at 58%. I tried taking it out of the drawer and moving it to different parts of the humidor with no luck. I ended up buying a bluetooth hygrometer. I took off 2 stars for this. For the price, this should not be an issue. Other than that, I am happy with my purchase.
