It sucks!

It sucks, like it’s supposed to! Used it on my mitre saw output. Only negative is that the reduction in size leads to an awful squealing noise when the hose slips out of the saw output. Otherwise, it does the job!

Buy something else

I needed a reducer attachment and chose this. I would not recommend this item. It just simply doesn't easily attach to any of my shop vacs. I have three vacuums. Buy something else. Too rigid and awkward.

It fits!

I purchased this adapter to connect my Porter Cable RO Sander to my Shopvac so than I can sand indoors instead of being at the mercy of the weather outdoors. It's a nice snug fit.

A brittle type plastic.

I needed a softer type adapter for my shop vac's flex hose, old one cracked from inserting flex hose in. This one is very similar to my old duct taped adapter. Probably not the best for the every day use.

Perfect fit

The reducer worked perfectly to connect the DeWALT DWE6401DS sander to the RIDGID NXT 45L shop vacuum. The external diameter on the vac hose is 2 1/4 inches, and the external diameter of of the port on the tool is 1 inch.

Measurements in the image is not correct.

I bought this as per the image dimensions, hoping that it would fit onto the 2-1/2" hose outlet on my machines. The image suggests that the inner diameter on the was slightly larger than 2-1/2" and tapper so I was hoping that it will not only fit onto the plastic outlet on the machines but would be a snug fit. It is the same size as the plastic outlet. I am not using masking tape :( but will have to buy a rubber sleeve to connect these. Quite disappointed as I chose this purely based on the dimensions.

I have tried to match a 11/4” adapter to one that a 11/4 vacaum hosewould fit and once again this adapter will not take that hose so be very sure of what you order or you’ll be chasing non-fitting adapters for ever
